Smedmore House Wedding | Claire & Ed's Wedding Photos
I've known Claire since we were tiny so I was really pleased when she asked me to photograph her wedding. Claire & Ed wanted a relaxed wedding by the sea and Smedmore House on Dorset's Jurassic Coast was perfect. It's still a family home and is like something out of a period drama; a great backdrop for photos and a lovely place for everyone to get ready in the morning, spying on their guests as they arrived. They said their vows in front of a stunning coastline while a tractor and cows ambled by. Guests drank Pimms in the sunshine, then danced the night away in a lantern filled marquee. The day was full of lots of brilliant details, that gave a nod to Claire and Ed's love of travelling, there was globe for everyone to sign and when they made their entrance to the wedding breakfast they were bombarded with paper aeroplanes. The exotic trips haven't ended because the newly weds have just got back from their honeymoon to Madagascar, I'm very jealous!
